Using Ai in Anger
I finally did it. Found a really good use for AI that I can put to practical use, and who knows, maybe start a new business from it.
So once again, my elbow is playing up! So I’m playing less golf, and you know what they say about idle hands…
Anyway, I do love my golf, and would love an excuse to mix business with pleasure, so I give you Open Golf Events
There are around 40,000 golf courses in the world and it would seem crazy to try and catalogue them all, and even crazier to then look on all their websites on a weekly basis to see if they’ve got any new ‘open’ events. Well in this modern world of AI, it’s not as crazy as it seems. I’ve still got a way to go cleaning the data, and introducing the site to the world, but here it is if you want a preview before we launch properly in the Spring…
This would have taken me about a year without Ai assistance, and it wouldn’t have been as good. Not only does the Ai know stuff, it’s also super enthusiastic and we’re able to generate thousands of lines of code every day. Some of those lines wouldn’t even exist if it wasn’t for the Ai assistance as I’m far to lazy.
Anyway, I love golf, and I’ve always loved ‘big data’, and I run an internet company, so this is right up my street!

Some of you are probably wondering what all of this has got to do with Spain!
Well, I’m obsessing over this 24 hours a day, and working 12 of those at least. That annoys my wife, so I’ve escaped once again to our fantastic mountain home, Casa Verdejo to enjoy the views and focus on my task.
