It has been said that I enjoy the odd round of golf. Living in the south of Spain as I do, near Sotogrande, there are lots of opportunities to play.
Golf is a bit like trying to solve an unsolvable puzzle. I get close sometimes, but never close enough. Currently playing off a handicap of 4.2 and a member of La Reserva Club in Sotogrande. If you’re in the area and fancy a game, look me up! If you can cope with playing with a left hander!
Since 2011, I’ve been playing on-and-off with the Global Amateur Golf Tour which provides some of the best amateur golfing events in the UK and around the world. Any golfer with a handicap can join in and compete, and you will have the opportunity to play on some of the best golf courses in the world.
My top 5 courses? A difficult one, but in no particular order:
- Royal County Down (Northern Ireland)
- La Reserva (Spain)
- Dubai Creek (UAE)
- Shadow Creek (USA)
- Tralee (Republic of Ireland)
